About

The Wildlife & Water Lab (WWL) is an interdisciplinary research group based at the University of Georgia’s Odum School of Ecology.

Our goal is using science to help nature and people. To do that, we combine ecology research with scholarship and practice across other disciplines to generate actionable knowledge for biodiversity conservation.

The lab head (Principal Investigator) is Dr. Charles B. van Rees, assistant professor at the Odum School of Ecology. The WWL is a part of the Aquatic Ecology & Conservation “Mesolab”, and affiliated with the River Basin Center, Institute for Resilient Infrastructure Systems, and Center for Integrative Conservation Research at UGA.
