Rabindra is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Wildlife & Water Lab at the University of Georgia. Originally from the Nepal’s Himalayas, Rabindra is a nature enthusiast and broadly trained researcher with multidisciplinary academic schoolings and diverse research experiences. He earned his PhD in Geosciences from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL and his MS in Botany from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has more than a decade of experience in independent and collaborative research conducted across various countries and scales, spanning community, ecosystem, and landscape levels, from local to global. Rabindra enjoys field-based research and leveraging a plethora of big data resources, including remote sensing products, integrating spatial aspects into ecological and environmental analyses, and applying statistical and geospatial modeling techniques. Outside of work, Rabindra cherishes quality time with his son – nurturing his love for reading through library visits and co-reading – and finding solace in trekking and capturing the beauty of nature through photography.
